Our vehicles are our pride and joy. Some of us take better care of them than we do our actual children! Ahem- dad? But seriously, all joking aside, we all dread the day when junior will smash his or her first Cheez-It into the carpet in the backseat. And we most definitely don’t look forward to Fido dropping a duce in the car on the way to the vet!
And guess what? It will happen but, it won’t be the end of the world. You can thank your hot water carpet extractor for that.
What is a hot water extractor?
Hot water extractors AKA carpet cleaners, help to maximize cleaning results to ensure your carpet, and other upholstered interior surfaces come out as fresh as possible.
Most of us have some form of a carpet cleaner. It’s a simple vacuum machine that heats water, snakes it through a pump, out of a nozzle and onto the upholstered surface. Just think of it as your own personal carpet wizard, and this “wizard” can use water to dissolve dirt and flush it from carpets in a matter of seconds!
The best results are obtained by ensuring the water is at a specific temperature- around 200 degrees, to be exact. Once the desired temperature is reached, the extractor injects the water onto the surface, gently cleansing away the dirt and grime that makes your vehicle’s interior look undesirable.
The one downside is that it will leave your seats wet for a while which in humid climates or warmer months, can lead to mold or mildew developing in your vehicle. Mold also leaves behind an unpleasant smell, especially if the vehicles doors are closed while the fabric is still wet.
At Fine, we make sure this does not happen with our drying process.
While you may be able to tackle the job yourself, having a professional address the issue is often a safer bet. Especially if your vehicle’s interior is needing a complete overhaul. Thanks to Fido, the kids and the fact that we spend an average of 17 thousand minutes a year driving.
Fine Airport has an exceptional carpet cleaning service that will remove anything your children and fur babies may leave behind!
