Hey, Tulsa- what better way to bite those “anxious flyer” nerves in the butt than with live music?!
Tulsa International Airport (TUL) is kicking off, Tunes at TUL this summer and the Red Dirt Rangers will launch the first show.
Boogie at the airport.
Cray cray, right?! I mean, who has heard of shaking your groove thang at the airport? Well, get ready because the Red Dirt Rangers will be the first act to perform an hour-long set every Friday throughout July and August. Red Dirt Rangers, a country-rock-folk band, was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2017 so passengers can expect to hear some great music!
Other bands that are performing are:
Desi & Cody
Top music city.
Tulsa views itself as a top music city. Having a stage at an international airport makes sense when it comes to promoting its live music. It is an excellent opportunity to introduce local musicians with a live audience and possibly to help calm the nerves of some of the travelers.
Where can I see the shows?
Concerts will take place in post-security in the food court between Einstein Bros. Bagels and This Land Press so the performances won’t be accessible to the non-flying passengers. Lucky you!
If all goes well, TUL may expand the shows through the airports busy seasons which include spring and fall breaks and of course, the holiday season. TUL already has a free theme park for the kiddos- what will they think of next?
Fine Airport Parking is excited to check out some of the local artists TUL is showcasing here in Oklahoma!
