Hey Oklahomans, Tulsa International Airport (TUL) is rolling out new curbside procedures. Officials have stated that parking and waiting at the curb for passengers to arrive is no longer an option as of August 18th, 2019.
If you think you can pull over and browse the internet while waiting for your hubs to make his way off the back of the plane, think again. Now, if a vehicle parks at the curb, it must be actively loading or unloading baggage and picking up or dropping off passengers.
The airport does have options for the “early bird catches the passengers” type drivers, though. If you arrive early, you can use the short-term parking located on the top level of the parking garage.
It won’t cost you an arm and a leg either, expect to fork out just $1 for the first 30 minutes, and $2 per hour after that. Or, if you want to wait at Fine, you can park for free for 30 minutes and we have amenities inside the lobby for you.
For the little daredevils out there who want to break the rules, airport police will be patrolling the curb to enforce these new procedures so don’t play on the dark side. If the police catch you, you will be issued a citation.
With passenger traffic at an all-time high, the new curbside procedures are intended to keep the roadways safe for visitors.
If you don’t have the luxury of a personal driver, Fine Airport Parking offers state of the art parking at competitive prices. Plus, you can hop on a free shuttle and get that “red carpet” service and be dropped off at TUL’s front steps.
